Implied lines

The following two photographs have implied lines indicated by red arrows. The arrows are pointing in the dominant direction for each line.

I have taken three photographs from my own collection and carried out the same exercise. The following three images show the implied lines

For the final part of the exercise I am going to shoot two more images. The first is to show an implied line  that is created by an eye line. The second is to show an implied line as an extension of a line or lines that point.

For my eye line shot I had planned to photograph a wooden cat we have looking at a ball but this happened with our real cat and I think it makes the point much better!

The final shot is of lines that point. In this example the cactus and shadow of the cactus are pointing out of the frame.
